Miley Ray Cyrus is an American performer, actress writer, actress, and performer. Her distinctive raspy voice is the hallmark of her music, which incorporates elements from a variety of genres and styles, including rock, country pop, music from experimental, pop, and rock. Cyrus has been the only artist to reach the US Billboard 200 top-five albums in the 21st century by an artist of female origin, with thirteen albums. Cyrus was born to Billy Ray Cyrus and became an teen idol when she played the title role on the Disney Channel television show Hannah Montana (2006)-2011. In her role as an actress Cyrus was featured in animated films Bolt (2008) and the feature films Hannah Montana: The Movie (2009) and The Last Song (2010). Cyrus was a coach on The Voice for two seasons and starred in "Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too", a Netflix episode of Black Mirror (2019). Cyrus is a fervent advocate for animal rights. In 2014, she decided to adopt the vegan lifestyle. She started the Happy Hippie Foundation in 2014. Its focus is on youth homeless and the LGBT community.
